Sacred Motherhood Circle

Motherhood is a deeply transformative experience. It is a time when we are pulled open and invited to connect to our deepest soul-longing. Motherhood is a spiritual journey during which we are asked to become radically honest with ourselves about who we want to be. We must face the loss of one identity and traverse sacred terrain to claim a new one that reconnects us to our soul, our voice, and our power.

sacred transformation

Motherhood involves moving from the Maiden archetype to the Mother archetype. Unfortunately, the predatory systems we live in prevent us from being truly seen and held on this journey. They deny us the space we need to dissolve on our way to being reborn into the new energies awaiting us. It is not an accident that these systems have enforced a reality where birthing folx and parents are not resourced and supported, where the nervous system does not have time to integrate the tremendous changes that come with birth and postpartum. We’ve forgotten our essence, and being forced to focus on survival within these systems has meant succumbing to unhelpful illusions and barriers.

But giving birth and/or becoming a mother shatters them, allowing us a fresh opportunity to grow in foundational ways. Transformation takes time and patience. It requires tending and deep acknowledgment. It requires rituals and ceremonies to honor the death of who we once were and the birth of who emerges. The space between nothing and becoming is sacred and vital to the transformation process.

opening the channel

The Sacred Motherhood Circle is where we come together in a circle to create communal rituals and ceremonies to honor the massive transitions and transformations of motherhood. We gather to celebrate, to mourn, to connect to our radical truths. To move the fears and dense emotions so we are better able to hear our intuition, and to connect with our voice and our power. Together, we channel all the ways that mothering is a revolutionary act in the service of manifesting a new, expansive, inclusive world.

the sacred motherhood circle pathway

Week 1: We meet in an opening circle to set our collective intentions.

Week 2:  We honor the ceremonial path of motherhood by holding a blessing way and a ritual.

Week 3: We connect to our ancestral lineages and the ancient wisdom within our blood.

Week 4: We connect to the archetypal energies of Maiden and Mother, feeling into how they differ and how they inform our roles in partnership, family, and community.

Week 5: We perform a Maiden-to-Mother ritual to help facilitate our transition between archetypes.

Week 6: We connect to our original Mother—Earth—and to the ancient guidance and wisdom She holds and makes available to us.

Week 7: We engage in movement and sound to shift the heavy and dense energies within us.

Week 8: We meet in a closing ceremony to bring resolution to our time together and to set intentions for moving forward in our lives.

The Sacred Motherhood Circle container is intentionally and carefully cultivated to create a safe space for everyone. Each person is invited to bring their full courageous Self into the space as it is a co-creation of the community.

cost

We have created an equitable pay structure because we recognize that the systems we live in do not support all people in equal and deserving ways. And at the same time we recognize that when we invest in ourselves we invest in our lives in every way possible. We offer a three-tier pricing system, outlined below. Please read through and honestly assess what is the best choice for you. Race, ethnicity, and gender have an impact on your financial and economic stability as well as on your earning potential. This model was borrowed with gratitude from Hadassah Damien and Alexis J. Cunningfolk.
